About Us

Winford Church of England Primary School is a rural school, situated 7 miles south-west of Bristol, within the county of North Somerset. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere with most of our families living in Winford and surrounding villages. Despite the school originating from 1847, we now have a stunning 21st Century two-storey building, completed in 2011, which is linked to the original refurbished Victorian school. A galleried library area at the heart of the school and a spacious hall improves provision for assemblies, drama, music, dance and gymnastics, as well as lunch provision.

We are a Church of England School, so have close links to the Church of St. Mary and St. Peter in Winford. Christian values are integral to our ethos and our school vision is:

“Winford School - where children Flourish”.

We aim to help children to flourish academically, spiritually, and emotionally through a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum, filled with a variety of experiences.
